Science of Synthesis and Thieme Chemistry are delighted to announce that the Dr. Margaret Faul Women in Chemistry Award Winner 2021 is Prof. Cristina Nevado from University of Zurich who is acknowledged as a rising star in the field of synthetic organic chemistry. She is recognized as an outstanding recipient of the award due to the breadth and diversity of her work which spans the development of new catalytic methods and elucidation of underlying mechanisms, important contributions in the synthesis of medicinally relevant natural products, and development of bioactive chemical probes. The award will be presented to her at the European Symposium on Organic Chemistry Virtual Mini Symposium on Monday, July 5, 2021.
