The next editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS) will be Prof. Erick Carreira from the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry at ETH Zurich. Erick Carreira will formally assume the JACS editorship at the beginning of January 2021 from Professor Peter Stang, who has led the journal since 2002. Founded in 1879, JACS is published by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and is one of the flagship journals in chemistry and the most cited journal in the field.
