Workshop: Exploring the Potential of Graphene, March 8, 2012
FET Flagship initiatives
-------------------------------
«Large, ambitious research initiatives with visionary objectives» – this is how the European Commission describes future flagship projects. Two of these large research networks are expected to start in 2013 and will be financed by up to EUR 100 million per year for a period of at least ten years.
The scientific advance should provide a strong and broad basis for future technological innovation and economic exploitation in a variety of areas, as well as novel benefits for society.
Graphene-Driven Revolutions in ICT and Beyond
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The GRAPHENE flagship ambition is to bring together a focused, interdisciplinary European research community that aims at a radical technology shift in information and communication technology that exploits the unique properties of graphene and related two-dimensional materials.
The meeting is organized by the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) and the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW) for the Swiss scientific community and other stakeholders in the area of research and development.
A detailed program will be communicated in the coming weeks. The meeting is free of charge and a standing lunch will be offered to the participants. Registration is required;
