The Cancer Drug Discovery Research Award (supported by RGCC International) honors outstanding scientific achievements of Master students, PhD students or Postdocs at Swiss research institutes that are working in the field of cancer drug discovery research. It recognizes outstanding contributions in medicinal chemistry or chemical biology related to cancer research.

The Awards is given every second year.
The total prize sum is CHF 10’000. The award committee decides about the splitting based on the candidates and their applications. The maximum amount per person is CHF 5’000 for PhD students and postdocs, and CHF 2’500 for Master students. The awardees may be offered the possibility to conduct an internship with RGCC International.Master students, PhD students, and Postdocs will be considered with regard to their different levels of training.
Applicants are requested to submit
- their curriculum vitae,
- a brief description of the scientific results (max. 5 pages), and
- an expert assessment from a supervisor

Procedure, Presentations of the Finalists and Ceremony
The jury will invite 2-4 finalists to present their project in a 10min short presentation at the SCS-DMCCB Basel Symposium, in Q1 2024. Based on the dossiers and the presentation, the jury decides about the winner(s).
